In Ethiopia, when the issue of coffee and conservation is mentioned, Coce is the first place which comes to mind.
The CoCE-abbreviation (Conservation and use of the wild population of Coffea arabica in the montane rainforests of Ethiopia) was selected, because:
Coce is a place close to Jima in the former Kefa administrative region and is said to be the origin of coffee.
